This is a short video of a one day fishing trip from Adelaide to Neptune Island. We were up at 2.30am and back in bed in Adelaide at 11pm the same day!

  • I spoke to fisheries about this and showed them where I got my reference from. Apparently their website is wrong and they will need to fix it, but at least they have noticed it and hopefully it will get fixed ! :)

  • @Marionbayfishing From the Fisheries web site under catch_limits_and_legal_lengths under Blue Groper they have a Map which clearly shows the furthest west point being Cape Borda and which clearly does not match with your coordinates! We were miles west of Cape Borda. Also, and this is important to, I wasn't fishing on my boat, so it wasn't really my call! The restriction zone you are referring to might be the one for Whiting size limit of 31cm!

  • Blue groper are a protected in these waters it should have been returned unharmed not chucked in the esky.

  • @Marionbayfishing - Blue Gropers are protected in Investigator straight and not on South Neptune Island, my dear friend!

  • For your future reference the protection line runs from Cape Carno 34,56,72's/135,37,56'e to Pt Vinica 35,53,19's/136,32,06'e a long way SW of Sth Neptune.Cheers.
