hahaha i live in Portland, on Belmont in the Hawthorne neighborhood "the hipster capital" you could say. I like to DIY and shop on Etsy. My sister calls me a hipster all the time. But i don't feel like "a hipster". Its all kind of silly i think. just let people be who they want to be without putting a label on it.

Hipsters don't use Youtube they record over VHS tapes of old movies they find at flea markets and then send the recordings around to their friends. If you consider mailing a VHS tape buffering, it takes a long time for their videos to buffer.

i'm pretty sure people classify as a hipster, but i just happen to do/like what so called "hipsters" are associated with.

@TheFloaty yeah, its like, a few years ago scene kids (were scene kids) and they were belittled because it was this new thing that I admit was pretty annoying. But "hipster" is now something "regular" people just call everyone who I guess you could say were "different". You can't be weird anyone without someone saying its a bad thing

who fucken cares if someone thinks someone is a hipster, hipster is such a general word and can be applied to anyone who likes music that isn't Drake or Lade Gaga.

@WowKablamo Ha, as much as I would like to pretend we are all frightfully cool, I am writing this on Saturday night, so evidently that's not entirely true.

But I think we do idolise counter culture a bit more in this Country though, and we're definitely worth a visit if you have never been.

We have Big Ben, great bands and mild socialism. what more could you want?!

Hehe, have you ever been to England? I am on sketchy ground here, being a (lapsed) vegetarian, performer and living in some notorious 'hipster' hangouts.
