@papajohn1973 You must've gone to ATP. As long as ATC understands what you're saying, I dont see what all the fuss is about. The only thing that bugs me is saying "To", or "For", where there could potentially be a number. For instance "Seminole 07B, turn left heading 040." Turn Left TO (could be confused with a number, i.e. 204) 040, FOR (Again) 07B. Besides that, 1.6 used in place of 1,600 is a commonly used thing now-a-days, and ATC knows what they mean.

that is the multi-purpose display (mpd). It can show moving maps, radar displays, traffic information, etc. It's a nice, big Avidyne system.

wats the instrument name right above the garmin gps n right below the autopilot alt set?

Alt pre select. You set the alt you want the a/c to climb to/ or descend and level off at. It gives you a chime 1000 feet before that alt then it levels off, slaved witht he autopilot.
