@alexmccoy11 Slash is still rocking! Check out his solo work, if you haven't already. Lynyrd Skynyrd's still awesome, too, although their style's changed. A lot. Personally, I would suggest you look into European rock and metal - if you want something completely new. European power metal, and, yeah, even Goth - to a lesser extent - sound much more like the old stuff then modern American rock and metal do. I could name a few bands, if you're interested. Won't waste space her if you're not.
