Actually, it matches better to the debate leading up to the second Iraq war than to the first.

Where is the voice that can treat Economics as Thucydides does War and Politics?

I saw this on my local Public Broadcast station, and later, when I searched up and down to buy it, I could not find anything but a mention on the IMDB. So glad it's here.

My history teacher told my class when she showed the vid, she said she had bought a video of it on ebay.

Thank you Bucketstein, for putting this up. I watched this in my ancient history A level class and found it fascinating. it's not just educational, but also interesting. not to mention, that the moral behind the story it poetic and haunting in the way it describes much of human history- a near constant state of war, where peace is merely the respite between wars, rather than peace being the norm.
Alcibiades is the greatest character in Athenian history and one of the best politicians ever.
I'm sitting my a level ancient history exam in a couple of weeks. this vid is very helpful, accurate, and portrays Thucydides well. Great vid. It was banned from being put on the telly afte rbeing shown once, because it was believed it implied that the iraq war was America's fault. Imteresting huh?

@eragonsaphira777 Banned, from the UK? Where did you learn that? Btw. I think the comparison is much more appropriate for the second gulf war than the first.
