And just what did Sloth do anyways? He just shows up for the credits.

Commentary:

0:05 - Okay, to reveal the hidden stuff in this stage, you need to fire the slingshot. Which I don't have. So one of the vaults has a slingshot, but I'm not going out of my way for the diamonds. If you really want to find the hidden stuff, just try looking in places where I paused. Thar be diamonds there.
1:01 - But not here. I screwed up. No diamonds here.
1:15 - Or here. Another screw-up. But the other places I paused, I'm pretty sure there's diamonds.
2:34 - If you warped, or otherwise missed it, you can get Armor here. There's also supposedly a Raincoat in the level someplace (which is good, lots of water), but I don't know where it is.
3:32 - D'oh!
4:39 - Yay for bonus point UFOs! Also, if you warped, you start here.
5:24 - One final, simple mini-level. Press down to reveal the diamonds.
6:00 - If you have 5 Goonies saved, you move on to the next level. Otherwise, you start again at the first level.
6:06 - The Pirate Ship has only 4 vaults, and 3 of the are 8000 point treasures. Don't take too much time, the timer is short. B reveals hidden stuff.
6:35 - There's the final Goonie. It's a girl sprite! I don't know if the people who developed this looked at the list of Goonies names, assumed Andy was a guy, and stuck the single female on the ship, or if they just plain didn't care that they had 5 boy and 1 girl sprites to represent 4 boys and 2 girls. I think it's the latter, and this is supposed to be Andy. Anyways, once you get her the stage ends, so go get some treasure first.
6:45 - That's not Sloth. But who it is, nobody knows. It's worth 5000 points, though.
7:07 - Huh-whoops!
8:25 - And they watch the ship sail away, just like in the movie. And Sloth is there too. But they forgot someone...counting Sloth, there should be 8 figures. Looks like again Steph gets no respect.
8:49 - There's a "second quest" of sorts. The game gets harder on the second playthrough. Enemies do more damage to you, the input to find hidden stuff changes (for the first level it's B+down, later levels just add a L or R or D to the original command), and two Fratellis chase you at once.

  • FINALLY get to see the end! :D

  • @CescoPisicoli Was it worth it?

  • Are you some sort of an points-holic? hmmmMMM?

  • @whintake Honestly, no. I felt the need to show as much as I can because, well, it is a walkthrough. But when I play normally, I usually skip all this stuff.

  • corey feldman who starred in goonies is a vegan , i met him at a animal rights conference, and he said he loves to play this game.

  • @UsaSatsui real nostelgia is always worth it! :D

  • @MrGrevy They were, actually. Before games had goals and endings, points were pretty much how you gained bragging rights.

  • @stebopign Has to be one of the worst games ever made. "Point 50000" indeed. I'm sure thousands of kids were really competitive over how many points they scored in this game.

  • i remember the credits and the last stages.. so i must've beaten this game before!

  • @UsaSatsui ok good video
