for me when i put it to quicktiem movie it turned the quality extremly bad. what do i do?

mine is sooooo confusing! I have no idea what to do with it :L it won't let me add videos into the timeline and when i actually get them into the trimmer they only do the audio and not the video so i can't see when to trim it:/ It sucks; and you have to pay for it?
