@iHeart2toke Thank you, you are one of the correct few posting lol. This was not the home of the first ever human heart transplant, though it was home of the nations first ever trauma research center and home of Dr. DeBakey and Dr. Cooley, whom were pioneers for cardiovascular surgery. I was born here also...sucks that it's rubble.

i heard it was converted into the artists lofts? how was it converted when if it was leveled???

Kinda makes me a lil mad that they demolished that building considering I was born there. I always wanted to go visit it but never had the chance.

i died at that hospital.
good job.

There were 2 Jeff Davis hospitals in Houston. Yes the hospital in this video is the hospital we were all born at but this is NOT the supposed haunted Jeff Davis hospital. The second was demolished some years ago, but the older of the 2 is still standing, located on Allen St. and had been turned into lofts.

@ruthless2005 the jeff davis hospital that was haunted is NOT the hospital in this video and it has been turned into lofts. google it.

@NatalieD8706 you are correct about this being the wrong hospital but Jeff Davis off of 45 has been remodeled into apt homes or something like that. i wonder what it;s like to live there now.

this hospital was not haunted, there is another Jefferson Davis hospital which is the one that they say is haunted that building still stands you can see it on 45 heading downtown

That's interesting! Thiswas built in 1937 and demolished in 1999. The hospital was 62 years old when it was erased from the skyline of Houston, Texas in 1999 (shown in the video).

When I was born there it was an indigent hospital (1980) my mother told me she was next to a woman who was shot in the head and legally dead but they were trying to force birth the baby. I still have the key card used for our room there. Looks like a pinkish plastic card with holes punched in it.

Do you see the room number in the key card? And I don't like people being shot anywhere cuz they die of bleeding, gangrene, etc.
