"The most original and filthiest patches I've ever bought"
"You could sell these for 4 times the price and they'd still be great value"
"If you can make patches like this you should keep them for yourself!"

In this 4 part section of my Ableton Live Dubstep Tutorial series, I will show you one way to process a bass using techniques such as frequency splitting, vowel filtering and sampler manipulation.

  • Once you have done all the processing do you like to bounce it down so you have just the 1 fully processed bassline file? Or is this just all dependent on you're CPU.

  • @scrubblybear1 - In this video I had to bounce it down as I'll show you how to do some trickery ;-) But yeah, normally I'd bounce down which is just for CPU

  • Good lord man, only one part per week or so?

I'd gladly pay for the set of these tutorials in advance.

  • @YourMumsYourDad1 - Unfortunately I have had a very recent loss in my family so have spent a lot of time out of London and so haven't been putting them up. . . Message my inbox if you REALLY want the videos early!

  • dude, yesterday was a dj contest (for those who didn't knew how to dj) at a workshop in my town, with our own music, on a novation twitch. if I would have had the song from your intro I would have won and kill them all. too bad :( where can we find some of your songs?

  • @AORNOfficial - Haha! Well I'm sorry you didn't win.. You can hear some of my tunes here: soundcloud(dot)com/ascian-1/

  • When you are eq-ing the three frequencies, how do you know which frequencies to take out? when i move it up and down the range they all just sound like a different pitch of the same noise

  • @AscianUK Ah no worries then, sorry for your loss. I'm sure your subscribers will understand if this project takes a backseat for the time being. Thank you so much for taking the time to produce these excellent tutorials. Stay strong.

  • im sorry for your loss and wish you long life!!!!

  • Sorry for your loss, take your time, these are worth the wait

  • Man sorry to spam comments, but this tutorial is so fucking helpful, it totally makes the bass clear and brings a smile on my face! (Rokit 6's and MDR7506 so i believe them!)

  • Check the bass (low) at 130hz is it an unwanted sound? I cut it out a bit!

  • I've really come to like this tutorial style, allows us to se more of the thought process
