I was born in USSR, now our country has been independent over 20 years, so there is no signs of communism remained. Only few brainwashed russians still running around but some of them are too old to take seriously, younger ones are mostly in prison!
North Korea are playing in the 2010 Football World Cup in South Africa. I bet as soon as they are out of the tournament they will try to escape. What If a Western Club offers to buy one of them ???
Unfortunately, many North Koreans do not live in that fantasy. Many have tried to defect to China or SK and if they're caught, they're executed or sent to a prison camp (but in most cases I think they're executed.) Anyway, I still see your point. The ones whom the "Dear Leader" has chosen to favor do get to live in that fantasy world, but they are in the minority. NK won't allow tourists to see their poor and miserable people, but undercover videos have been made so the world can know the truth.
