but if they werent released until 81 then how could they be out in 79? :) Actually they were introduced in May of 81 and the SD50S (short frame) was built in November of 1980. They were built until 1986. If I remeber right, The Chessie system got their units in 1983-4. Correct me Mark, I am sure you know the answer about this.

Well if he modeled in 1979-1981 he could fudge it in. They were first released in may of 1981.

Really love your videos, you hit the mark on everything, all rolling stock and motive power is the correct era, loads are correct in the cars, and the detail is amazing. The box cars with the removed roof walks pegs this as 70's railroading at it's best! Also spotted the scale car riding with the caboose.
Great to see the camera crew out and about again! I thought that maybe with the down-turned economy, they had been laid off or Obama-sized.
