i like listining to this song on rainy days, with all the lights off in the house, and stare out into the woods

The mood of the song makes me think of the decline of the Old Ways as the Soldiers of the Union closed in on the remaining free tribes. I imagine the last of the great Warchiefs alone in the field awaiting the sunrise, and the inevitable of western expansion. Epic, but sad.
