Just in case people are thinking of illegal dealers, nurses don't/can't write legal prescriptions. A Nurse Practitioner can write a prescription, but that by training and education is a form of Doctor, not a form of Nurse. @pruning, you were probably quoting a book for (a). I am not trying to correct you or your quote, It is just one possible legal explanation for "as prescribed by ... nurse".

It also bears mentioning that (a) they were literally on speed, as prescribed by their nurse to protect them from going into shock, and (b) as mentioned in Penn's podcast, all the skin on the bottoms of his feet sloughed off afterwards.

Just read about this act in Penn's book "Everyday is an Atheist Holiday" and just had to look it up on the tube. By their demeanor you'd have no idea how insanely scared and upset Penn was during the whole thing. These guys are great entertainers and don't get the recognition they deserve
