Albuquerque Sandia Mountain Embudito Trail

This is a short hike I took in the lower area starting up the Embudito Trail in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is actually off the main trail so I could head up part of the canyon to follow the stream up through the boulders. It was slippery trying to climb over a few areas on the rocks without hiking boots. I had a pair of New Balance all-terrain running shoes on. Didn't really cut it off the main trails. This video was taken on October 4th, 2007.

1:54 - that sucks! I hate how tagging has ruined so much of the city of Albuquerque. I near that spot a few weeks ago and it's complete crap that taggers are ruining it.

I agree. I do not understand how these assholes think defiling what everyone else has a right to enjoy is cool. Especially part of mother nature and the environment. Some cultures would cut their damn hand or hands off. Think tagging would be common then? Scumbags.

Albuquerque is my home. I have been living here since 1985. Bought a home here just recently. That little word twist is an act of fondness on my part. Kind of like saying....I don't know..."homie"? Sorry about your paranoid assumptions. Excuse me but I'm not moving back to ANYWHERE!!! Kiss off.

I just hiked this trail yesterday. I went up to find "Lost George Pass" geocache in the snow, what an adventure that was!! How far up did you go on this hike?

I also tried to get up to cyclegreen's cache, "Whale's Tail", but didn't have the time or energy to get it.

This is going back a while now. I didn't go up that far. I mainly wanted to take a couple videos and there were some thunder clouds coming in. I cut it short. I do want to get that same cache myself. :-)

Thanks for putting this up. I live in the gray condos by the parking lot. I used to hike up there all the time but I have been sick and have not been up there for two yrs. I miss it. Will be up there again..Thanks
