My version of this known medieval set arranged for pipe and tabor. The pipe is tuned in G and is a copy of Praetorius Syntagma Musicum engravings made by Miguel A. Casado. The taboret was made by me several years ago.

  • Very nicely done, and wonderful work to get the chromomatic scales off the pipe. It would never have occured to me to do the Lamento with pipe and tabor (tend to think of it as a vielle or plucked string piece, subtle and slow rather than energetic), but you pull it off exceptionally.

  • Beautiful, full immersion in the middle age. Before I succeed on playing this -simple indeed when played on the recorder, actually very tricky for tabor and pipe, - specially "La Rotta" - I will need to practice a lot....great job!!!!
