I recorded this demo for a freind who wanted to know what a leslie speaker sounds like. The speaker unit came out of a Hammond N300 (I think) and I belive it's a leslie 16 (same as a fender vibratone) but i might be wrong. the origonal roter was made of polystyrine and was broken when I tripped over the power cord of the upside-down leslie. (after i removed the spring for using the moter unit sideways the slow motor will only disengage properly if the moter is upside down.) I made a new rotor out of plywood, and it is designed much like the rotor of a leslie 122. sorry about the buzzing on the slow speed, but the slow motor needs to be adjusted. This was recorded with a skype headset, so the sound quality is far from great. enjoy!
