For me the "secret" of a nice soft field take off is to jam full right rudder as the nose comes up. Then as you are doing that and maintaining centerline you need to be persistent and push the nose down to keep the plane in ground effects. A lesser airplane will stay in ground effects more easily, but the Mooney really wants to fly. It also helps to set some extra UP trim, which helps to keep the nose light. That is Bitching Betty yelling at me in the background.
soft fields are wicked in the mooney.. agree with the nose wantin to pitch up.. it's real hard to keep in ground effect ay, how awesome is the climbout tho.. check out my mooney vids!

Too bad the Mooney can't maintain ground effect for longer. You can have some really bitchin' take offs when you're in ground effect for the full lenght of the runway.

That is a fun video, and of course you are in the best airplane in the world! If you like check out the Mooney Ambassadors on Facebook, or YouTube. We support our Mooney Airplane Company, general aviation and have a great place to fly!

why not take off slowly so as not to hit and endangered spotted owl or bald eagle.?
have you ever seen a UFO when up in your flying machine ?

Bitching Betty? Sounds more like Whiney Wayne! Is the voice a feature of the autopilot? I've never heard that before (I don't fly a Mooney), but it's quite, um, icky..
Nice work, nevertheless.
