Le Carnaval des Animaux - Aquarium
Charles-Camille Saint-Saens (1835-1921) : Saint-Saens is a most characteristic example of a French romantic composer of his era. Saint-Saens was both a piano and a pipe organ virtuoso, he had enough success as a composer in his epoch and he travelled a lot during his lifetime. Saint-Saens has been characterized as the "French Mendelssohn". Saint-Saens's works are now considered to be somehow "out of fashion" and have lost most of their appeal compared to those written by other composers.

I love the visuals that go along with this piece of music. Although there are other renditions on Youtube, what makes this version stand out from other is the use of the celeste. It's perfect for depicting the underwater scenery.
Thank you.

makes me think of visiting a reef at night and talking with an octopus. You're so entranced by the beauty in the moon light that you fail to see when your escape has been blocked.
