Let's Play: Lost Odyssey - Part 85 - "Tower of Mirrors & Final Boss Part 1"

Once you're ready, and you've done everything you want to do in the game, head to the Tower of Mirrors. ***THIS IS THE POINT OF NO RETURN*** and once you go, you cannot return and finish any unfinished business. I recommend making another save file to come back to after the final battle as well, if you so desire. Once you have all of your equipment, skills, and party ready, feel free to dive right under.

You'll be greeted by Gongora, naturally. After his speech, it's time to battle... the creature he sicks on us. After coming all this way, he's still going to summon creatures to stand in our way? Really? D: Let's show em who's boss!

Boss: Luminous Magic Beast
HP: 55,850
Skills: Ray Charge, Forceus, All-Aquara, All-Flarus, Ultimate Ray
Type: Beast
Element: None

Strategy:

- The beast will throw magical attacks at you, so if you'd like to buff All-Barricadus is a good idea, All-Shieldus really isn't necessary. Wind/Fire resistance/absorb will also help for this battle. Additionally, you can equip some Beast Killer rings with an All-Powerus buff for some additional damage.

- When the Beast's tentacle like.. things.. are white, don't use magic! It will absorb any magical damage as HP, which is something you don't want. When it's tentacles are red however, this is a green light to use magic on it, so go at it! While the tentacles are white, just stick to healing/buff duty.

- For this battle, AND THIS BATTLE ONLY, you can have one mortal join you. I don't think it matters much who you bring, but I suggest a physical attacker like Tolten or Sed. The tentacles will randomly change, and if they stay white you can waste a lot of time.

The first battle of the final showdown is out of the way. There's honestly not a lot of strategy with this guy, he's essentially just a large punching bag for your team while you fight your way to Gongora!

do you have any tips on how to get to 99 quick ? even with double xp it takes forever ! im level 65 and a battle in the temple of enlightment only gives me like 30xp :p

ya gotta love the music at 2:24. and also if you didnt notice, the background rhythm music seems like it is from Super Mario RPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars. The theme when you are jumping on the tadpoles trying to make the music for Toadofsky at Tadpole Pond sounds just like this background rhythm music/beat. Maybe I am wrong, but the same people who made that game made Lost Odyssey as well.

@ch0colatemilk lmao yeah, I remember hating Jansen for the a good portion of disc one. then I realized I couldn't hate him anymore. he's hilarious and does turn around :)
