Edgar Degas (19 July 1834 -- 27 September 1917), born Hilaire-Germain-Edgar Degas (pronounced [ilɛʀ ʒɛʁmɛ̃ ɛdɡɑʀ dœˈɡɑ]), was a French artist famous for his work in painting, sculpture, printmaking and drawing. He is regarded as one of the founders of Impressionism although he rejected the term, and preferred to be called a realist.[1] A superb draughtsman, he is especially identified with the subject of the dance, and over half his works depict dancers.
Edgar Hilaire Germain de Gas ou Edgar Degas (Paris, 19 de Julho de 1834 — Paris, 27 de Setembro de 1917) foi um gravurista, pintor e escultor francês. Embora seja muito conhecido pelas suas pinturas, maioritariamente de carisma impressionista.

I had edited the video with the music of Paderewski, but because of copyright I replace the music by Bach's Music Box -Song: Air on G (from You tube AudioSwap)
