On May 25th, 2011, our lifelong family friend, Ken Hoffman passed away. In honor of his memory I put this video slide show together for those of you who had the joy of knowing him.

He definitely was a unique character and I wish everyone I know could have met him.

I have many fond memories of Ken - having bb gun wars as a child, playing hot box and sliding under Ken and having him land on my head, blowing up snails & plums with firecrackers, learning guitar because he made a Segovia excercise look so easy. I can go on and on...but my most memorable time with Ken was when he took my family on a tour of San Francisco on December 29th, 2010. Inspite of his ailing health we covered the pier in Pacifica, ate at his favorite Chinese Rerstaurant & desserts at the Italian Bakery, Golden Gate Park - the tea gardens, seeing live Buffalo, and the Windmill, Cliff House, the Legion of Honor, Robin Williams house, Fort Point - under the Golden Gate Bridge, St Francis Yacht Club, Palace of Fine Arts, the Famous Safeway where singles meet, Coit Tower, The Embarcadero, Market Street, and ending up at Godfather's Pizza in Burlingame.

This was the greatest coverage of the city I ever had. I was so thankful he shared his knowledge of the city with my wife Julie and my sons Adrian & Andrew. Most of these places Ken shared were important to him as he grew up. This was the last day we spent together.

Sadly when we said our goodbyes, deep down we knew, they were our farewells. Despite our sadness, in Kenny's signature fashion, while he drove off... he kept honking his car horn. We all just laughed and wiped our tears away.

Rest in Peace Ken. We all love you and we'll miss you.
