@djchrisepa is the xti 4000 enough to handle 2 jbl mrx 528s at a gig? im debating weather or not to get one xti 4000 or 2 ep 4000s to drive them , any help you can give on the issue im having is most appreciated.

@CarlosFlo94 no its not. i actually have an xti 6000 bridged mono per each one of these subs i have. when i had xti 4000s running bridged mono on each sub they would clip before the subs were working that hard. the 6000 is more power than the sub can handle but you dont want to under power speakers cause that can blow them.

XTi 4000 isn't too much for a MRX 528?
-
the crown xls 100 is 1000 watts bridged at 4ohms. is that too weak for these subs?

Do these jbl's have a built in x-over? Thanks everyone. I am considering buying 2 of them from zzounds for $949.00 each. Can I get them cheaper anywhere?

I wouldn't mind putting 2 of those in my bathroom. It would help loosen things up in the morning...especially drywall nails. I had a pair of 30" EV woofers firing through rear corner horns a few years back. But they didn't have nearly the SPL these JBLs can put out. The tradeoff was that the EVs were flat +/- 3db from 18 to 200 Hz and would gently shake the house at 2 watts RMS. 1000RMS would smoke my voicecoils.

@rytechaudiocom XTI-8000?
that amp is so legendary that it doesn;t even exist:p
the XTI series includes: the
XTI- 1000
XTI-2000
XTI-4000
XTI-6000
(just a small remark, nothing else :d

if i get one of these, do you think i could do 300 kid school dances? also how low do these go without getting muddy? I plan on using one of these subs on a crown xls 2500, 2400 watts rms bridged at 4 ohms

Subs like this don't have a crossover in them and please never ever daisy chain a sub to your tops.
what amp do you use with this?

you should mount wheels on the backs, it would save you some energy.
