2010 MazdaSpeed3 CP-E Cold Air Intake Installed CAI

This week I installed the CP-E 2nd Gen Cold Air Intake for the MazdaSpeed3. I seriously can't praise the thing enough. My car pulls like a freight train all the way up past 6,000rpm and the sound is ridiculous. This video doesn't do the sound justice so I will replace this one with some better footage this weekend when I convince my wife to film. You can barely hear it on this video when I am driving since I had the camcorder on the dash on my way to work and it didn't pick it up well. Turn up your speakers for the end part and you can hear most of the "whooosh"

The thing is so loud it makes me laugh out loud every time I get on it =)

Hey im worried about my car throwing codes when i install this... have you had any problems at all?

@kraigmims1 Nope, I had it on for about 15,000 miles before I sold it and I never had a code or issue, that includes driving through some terrible weather too

Park it in a garage and jam a camcorder inside your engine bay then listen to the MPEG =) Mine doesn't sound nearly that loud in person.

whats wrong with your engine. MS3 Doesnt sound like that... You Better go check.

It's the sound of the fuel injectors. It's direct injection (DISI). Look at other videos of MS3/MS6 and you can hear it. It's really loud in a garage. I appreciate you lookin' out though =)

yeah man. I have a mazdaspeed intake also on my 2008 and noticed that my rpm range went through the roof. I can get about 6200on the rpm range b4 I feel the power start to die off.

@hitmangui2 yes ms3's sound like that. its a direct injected u dumb ass.. all direct injected cars tick. dont talk about what u dont know or understand

whats up with the valves sound wierd....mazdaspeed 3 is an amazing car i wish they make a AWD model. thats the only reason im leaning more to buying a WRX..(winter ) u know... enjoy it

@fazedjoker123 Yea if you drive in a deep enough puddle you bet you'll get water in it. Trust me just took my motor apart and drained all the water out, not fun. But cold air intakes are worth it. Just be careful.
