In a country where traditionally women are not seen or heard in public,
Sheikha Moza role as Qatars first lady is ground breaking. (The highness ) She has addressed the United Nations.
She is now Unasco special envoy for education, and becomes a strong advocate for educational reform in her own country.

Without education, we cant achieve anything. Without citizens who can conduct a civilized debate, and can decide for themselves what to choose, and whom to choose, for their political life, well not be able to achieve anything.

So you think education helps to build the country. Definitely.

And Qataress are literally building on that belief on 2400 acres on the outskirts of Doha.
A site where Sheikha wants top universities from around the world to set up branch campuses. Its called education city. The actual constructions started in 1996. So far theyve attracted three universities, two from the United States, and theyre negotiating for more.
And all these were funded by his Highness. Everything. Everything.

The universities dont have to pay a dime. All they have to do is to offer the same education here as they offer in America.
