Insert gun here for the win.

The gameboy game, Probotector, a.k.a Operation C. Since this is the European version, the graphics are different.

This is possibly the easiest out of the Contra games, but still fairly difficult in places.
Difficulty RAMPS at the final stage and Black Viper is no pushover. He actually puts up a fight! Unlike, say, Red Falcon. Ok, his brain doesn't put up any reisistance what-so-ever, but give him a break, he's just lost his body, XD

Unlike the NES games, where only one part of the boss needs to be destroyed, the multi-part bosses in this game require ALL their parts to be eliminated. So there aren't really any "instant" kills. Theres still one in there though :P.

All names, with the exception of Viper, are made up.

Just one more 8bit Contra game to go.. then it's onto the 16bit ones!... I am not looking forward to the Megadrive one...

  • i might aswell wonder if this whole Probotector shit they "replaced" Contra with is in league with that Censorship shit thats currently strangling the words "E10+ Violence Gaming out of Australia", if it is related to that "omg games are too violent for thinking kids" crap then thats more proof Censorship Laws for Videogames need the big fat steeltoe boot

  • i sitll dont see why the europeans needed a special graphics version that was a clone of Contra on ALL the contra games, i didnt know that Europe was still in the WW2 in the late 1980s >.>
