Thanks for this video and info! I'v been growing my hair so i can have dreads, and you've convinced me the natural way is best. That's why i wanted them in the first place anyway. Natural growth! Sure i'l get far more satisfaction growing them over time. How i'm gonna love them into existence! Peace and Love!
Search dreadlocktruth on google, go on to the first website then hover over the word 'Dreads' then 'Why not wax?' Look at the pictures and read the text then do the washing test at the end and you will see why not to use wax.
wow of you people just dont get it wax DOES NOT HELP DREADLOCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!! it causes mold and does not let the dreadlocks grow and mature! it keeps the dreads in place
wax just makes the dreadlocks look stiff and you can tell where it is and it attracts lint and causes the dread to get dirty
if you people want to kill your dreads with wax then fine....
How can wax promote mold when it repells water? You don't make sense. Hair gets dirty so you wash it. This happens reguardless of wax. How does wax prevent your hair from growing? Again you aren't making any sense. My dreads are doing just fine with wax.
Unless u dipped your hair in candle wax and had a 100% seal water wouldn't get in dread wax allows water to get inside the dread and get trapped so u can never dry it all out = MILDEW/MOLD open your mind!
You say wax allows water to get into the dread. That is like saying a red traffic light means go. WAX REPELLS WATER YOU STUPID CUNT. lol, seriously! The only way that wax could promote fungus is if you don't completely dry them BEFORE applying the wax and thus sealing the water in. Get a clue.
