The same things happened at the Trinity test 40 years ago...

That is true The temperature of the core was higher than the chamber it was placed into. They had to wait until the temp equalized...then it slid in.

How could a device have so many incidental booby traps? Sparks, strobe discharges... And a timer that is completely wild. What a nightmare!

They editor put the wrong take into to the part where Mathewson says "time circuits tend to decay exponentially" the clock on the bomb is running at normal speed. The correct clip (3:07) is after he tells Paul he didn't know what he took, and Paul looks down at the timer and it running backward "logarithmically."

"Too Many Secrets". I'm glad they always fake the instructions in these movies regarding weapons, that way some nut can't decide to follow 'em.
