You simply can't pick one of the vlogbrothers.
John is the literature nerd, and he makes you think about your life and the way that you live it, while simultaneously being awkward and making you laugh.
Hank, on the other hand, is more of a science/computer nerd, and he makes you laugh, say WTF and makes you remember not to take life too seriously,
(Of course there are exceptions to each of these.)
It's hard to choose a specific one, because each of them do different things for you.
