The society we live in blinded or misguided us through the yrs where we lost track of whats imortant. your right its crazy to sit back and watch what has unfolded in our lap cause of it. Start preparing for the worst and hoping for best. But it will only get worse before it gets better. Its the worse part im affraid of.

Everytime i do my grocery shopping i stock up on whatever is on sale. Check expiry dates. Every little bit adds up faster than you think.

Any advise on convincing friends to WAKE UP? I cannot succeed with this&so worried. Trying to prepare for my immediate family & thats hard enough financially with 5 adults&1 child. I am also stocking up for close friends; but, fear I will never have enough. Friends just wont listen. They think I am crazy!

You need to find a place where you can pick fruit, grow vegetables, and raise goats and chickens. (vitamins, protein, dairy, variety)

Growing your own grains can be done - but having a tightly-sealed, multiple-year supply is better. Fresh grind it - flour loses nutrition quickly. Learn how to make bread.

Buy (build) a solar oven so you don't have to chop wood every, single, damn, day just to cook/boil.

Forget gold and silver: ammo will be a currency: 9mm, .45, .22, 12-gage, .308, .30-06

I live in Chicago, VERY diverse like most large cities, this is how "they" planned it. Many residents stay away from eachother due to differences in race, color, political views, etc.

Best way to control a large population is diversify it, I think thats always been the plan by "them". I have a small network started and I agree with you. Bottom line though is the 1's that want a handout will ROB me if they know I am prepared. This is why survival in the large cities will be tough.
