  • The idiocy of most comments is astounding as usual.....

  • @ukrainesuperpower87

Actually, the Buran launcher, the Energia, is far superior to the US External Tank and SRB combo. In fact, with modification, the Buran system can be fully reusable, unlike Shuttle. The Russians just didn't have the money to test the possibilities. Pity. I'd have liked to see a few Burans going up. Maybe the ISS would turn out better than it has.

  • @smart12222 god fuck man half the people in your country are starving and you think your tech is better then ours. you wish...

  • Russians == great engineers, not so great cinematographers.

  • Usa.. HAHAHA.. that is funny for so many reasons.. mostly because the germans designed built and ran your rocket program to get you there..remember that nazi scientist who built the V1 and V2?

Russia had already been around the moon so by definition they were there first. your Germans put you on the surface.. Germany wins. The soviets were going around the moon taking pictures before you got off the ground

  • @babybearkill Americans on the moon:12 Everybody else: 0 !!! USA wins!!!!

  • @dhbiza And blew up with spectacular regularity. Progress 745 launches, 744 successful.

Shuttle 135 launches, 2 failures. that is one every 67.5 flights. the maths do not lie.

Korelov was a genius. I am not Russian or from the U.S. but it is clearly evident that simplicity rules when it comes to space. Let's not get into the discussion of space stations.

  • Energia should still be flying!

  • In response to some of the comments on here, one has to remember that both sides did amazing things. Saturn V and the F1 engine, the Americans got that right, shame they binned the blueprints! Russia certainly got it right with Soyuz - Initially the R7 ICBM then Vostock, Voshkhod, Soyuz, Soyuz 2. If it ain't broke why fix it? Buran certainly had a lot going for it, if R&D had continued, I guess it would have become excellent heavy booster.

  • @SixtySky987 долбоёб чтоль?

  • @smart12222 Yeah, once again something is better and far superior than what the Americans did. YADA YADA YADA. Once again tho, these "Better" systems never make it. The American system did.

  • Between the two the Buran system was Way better than our shuttle system too bad the union fell before Buran went operational...
