Hello, I owned the house and the tree for 20 years. It is an Australian Banyan Fig and does drop small figs (inedible) There is one directly west of this one on Dwyer Street. There were 7 in Anaheim - about 4 remain, one in front of Fairmont School on Mable Street off of Broadway. It is 250 years old. Kept the house cool in the summer too. Wonderful tree and house! The executives at Disneyland, the current ones, must be insane.
The Tarzan treehouse has none of the imagination or magic (or even music) of the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse. What's worse, they put giant fiberglass animation stills in the Tree, making it look like a frozen cartoon, instead of a living fantasy.
