@HosiAkira I do not agree that the immigration system is xenophobic. If that were the case why are we by far the most diverse country in the world? I apologize if I'm mistaken but are you not of Japanese descent and living in America? My parents came here from India in the late 70s and I was born here in the 80s. This country is built upon diversity & equality, and melting pot is a compliment as far as I'm concerned. I do agree that post 9/11 things have changed, but can you blame them?

@somendnguy I think they didn't have the option to even apply. He might have came to this country already undocumented. The immigration system does not accept application. Parents would be afraid to even register their children in fear of their deportation.
I think that's why the American Immigration system is broken. It is very xenophobic....

So if his parents had robbed a bank and died and left him the money should he be allowed to keep it?

I'm pretty sure he did not drive himself into the country and thought "oh, let me cross into this country and live here illegally". He was 10!

Raul seems like a good guy and all, but that doesn't change the fact that he is in this country illegally. He has had almost 10 years to change that. What about the millions that work hard and wait years for their documentation to be approved before coming into the country? Please do not get me wrong, I am not anti-immigration, as I am a very proud first generation American. I just do not have sympathy for people that come into this country illegally, then expect people to feel sorry for them
