this is an application for 4 wheel drive cars, most road cars are front wheel drive which tend to understeer like you said. but no this is not just for racing cars

i really wish atd was for sale in the US. it's really good for racing and proformance driving, it gives the car tons and tons of grip, and once you lift or excede the grip it send the car into a controlled slide. atd works with the traction control and stability control, so not much driver imput is required to get the car around the corner once you are sliding. you shuold check out TOP GEAR P2.

i dont get it... i thought all road cars had massive amounts of understeer built into them. why is there a system to prevent oversteer? is it really nessascary as a safety feature, or is it for racing cars only?
