I began practising this 2 handed bowling middle of June 2008. This video was taken 1 month on. I was using 16lb The Big One from Ebonite with high polished surface.

I got mostly Brooklyn strikes, typically from lack of ballspeed down the lane and higher revs than normal.

I find this method allows me to lay down the ball smoothly onto the lane even though my knee is hardly bent. My balance at the foul-line is better. I also used lesser effort to hook the ball. Much better pin-action and greater power.

Currently I am working on my accuracy and skip-skip-slide footwork. Hope to get more speed through:
a)faster footwork
b)a higher backswing with raised elbow much like Jason Belmonte.

Next video in 1 mth time, hopefully with some improvements :)

  • This one at CSC right?

  • Yes, its Planet Bowl. Morning special low price, but oiling not up to standard ;)

  • Oh... but than some Uncle like no prob leh, just avrge 170 all the way walao some drink Tiger and bowl also nothing wrong..

  • Dry lane suits some players.

  • i myself am having a fun year of bowling . recent convert to two 2 handed also. with a bent arm i generate about an extra km of speed. My biggest thing i have found is my track goes so close to the fingers and sometimes over it. Most of my balls now behave like monsters. they have been drilled around 75 degree and 45 degree layout. Now looking at doing 105 degree and 25 degree layout. or if i find a pin in ball thinking of trying 315 degree.

  • Ball tracks over my finger too. Matter of fact, I am having inverted ball track and my PAP is 41/2 over by 1" down. Balls are drilled 45 deg layout.

  • FAIL! couldnt hit the pocket once?

  • @sonadid i just use the degree layout system at present. still haviing problems with my track. thinking i am getting it off my hand maybe too late. will try a few drills at the line to test.

  • Well, you didn't bowl well the go around you filmed here because all shots were high or Brooklyn. You still did better than i do bowling two handed though. I bowl with a Columbia Freeze and a Storm Flame. I use 2 fingers to bowl, and I have been working on the reverse hook for awhile now. I am actually left handed as well.

  • udo71, do u use morich dual angle layout system to drill your ball?

  • oh well, than Spinner any recommedation on what to practise on??? I saw one uncle six finger one ah.. he like use also 12 n thn his rev is way higher than me when I even force it leh??

  • hey, wanna meet up or sth?

need some advice haha. like balance, speed. release i'm having my own style. i'm just facing problems about speed, which in turn would affect my balance
