An underrated song by the master-a great feel to it. And love the video!

I agree. Peter Gabriel has always been an under-appreciated artist.

The artist Peter Gabriel collaborated with for this video is Yayoi Kusama, provocative japanese painter

@BadResistors Also, I think the big trap is in ourselves and in our own minds. The surroundings are just the inevitable landscape we are restricted as flesh and bones beings. THe real liberation comes from deep within. Family, wives, sons, daughters, family, friends, nations, neighbouhoods, streets, trees, houses, etc. are just external circumstances that we could approach in different ways. Our saviour is not in the landscape, is inside all of us. We just have to dig deeper and deeper.

@BadResistors Very good observation ...people just go with the flow, they go to school, get married, get a job, have kids ...and so on.I've though A LOT about that, and we either develop a greater consciouness and liberate from all attachments or we better follow the mainstream guidelines. Without enlightment is absurd that we don't find a partner, or enjoy the sublime pleasure of sharing our lives with our own kids that at the same time will help us get through when we grow old.

This song, just like 'Diggin the Dirt' has a deeper meaning. This one is about our sexual urge to find 'love' and start a family, which is basically ingrained (programmed) code in our DNA which can lead us to a trap of family life, mundane living, where time and soul are swallowed by routine and daily grind, and there's no actual Love, just feeding.
'Lovetown' is a place we think we want to be in, but in fact it is also a trap. 'Have you got what you want?' - he asks. 'Take a good look around.'

Actually I did know about the video but never saw it until now - thank you so much, mickmarks, for uploading.
