There are quite a few admin pages that consist mainly of a long list of "stuff" (nodes, terms, modules, path aliases, comments, users) These screens have a lot of repetitive items showing all at once. Still, only thing you can do is click a link and go to another screen (to edit, configure, etc.) It would be nice to do edit items without leaving the big list. A bit like how Google Reader does it for RSS feeds.

I completely agree with this. Having the same items shown row after row (like "View" "Edit" "Delete" links) is visual clutter and makes it more difficult for the user to locate the action they want to do.
