I know these guys are just playing around, but 90% of what they're saying is pure BS. DJ'ing isn't about having your own website or getting your dick sucked in the booth, it's about sharing music with others and pumping up a crowd. I hope no one is discouraged from being a DJ because they heard that they had to release a mixtape on cassette or some stupid shit like that.

Hot 97, here's a thought: get some better fucking DJs. They're so gassed from being on the almighty Hot 97, which is a mere shadow of the mid 90s station I remember, they don't even care about really mixing anymore. Besides Camilo (who, BTW came off as an asshat here), Cocoa Channelle and maybe Big Ben, the rest are doo-doo. Mister Cee dont mix, Flex just backspins in and out of records anymore, Enuff.... maybe a little better, but no Suss One!!

I don't agree with this. I'm a DJ because I love the art and I am a crossover artist as well. Some people choose not to have vinyl because of damages and nowadays people don't really use cassettes to record their mixes. I am a hip hop scholar and Enuff is definitely one of the djs I know and respect (he was BIG's dj when he was alive). I can use vinyl/analog set but I choose digital because it is more simple and convenient for me. I respect these guys tho no doubt! No hating at all just opinion.

@BREAL490 lol how can u call yourself a DJ & not know your equipment .. i started 5 years ago & i know my gemini mixer and ive used it, i grew up in the cd era but i use vinyl and it sounds better then serato,cds and mp3s

@JonniMartinez yeah i am fan of hot 97 and often go and listen camilo in nyc, and tune into his shows, however the whole i was a vinyl dj thing hating on anyone else's is bullshit almost nothing they said was true except promoting your own party, having skill .....if you started anytime in the last 6 to 8 years you don't need to know or have vinyl's or an old ass Gemini mixer, recording on cassettes and having a website doesn't make u a dj either this video is kind of 80 percent bullshit

@DjJoshblake look vinyl will always beat a CDJ is scratching which is what hip hop djs do ... euro-house djs use cdjs because its the best to mix that type of music ... euro & north america use a different standard
