First video before surgery 6 months into treatment aka braces. Since I got them on I notice my mouth teeth moving ( gap when there was no gap) and my jaws alone, they align differently than before I actually think it is worse than before braces but they need to be in the proper placement prior to surgery.
My name is Laura I'm 19 and live in Nebraska, this is my first youtube video/ blog thing about my upcoming surgery questions feel free to comment or if you have advice or answers for me feel free to comment vice versa :) thank you!

  • Update. September 18th I am having my surgery. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

This is a bit overwhelming still for me that it it actually happening.

Im most nervous about recovery and stuff like that. Eating will suck a lot I know and I wont be able to work for a while because my job is talking to people. I am however anticipating a sign language class ( why not) and I am going to buy an iPad so i'll have something to keep me busy while I recover.

  • @ThePurpleroks I had the same idea i was willing to get the surgery but no surgeon would do it nad the one who would wanted to mess up my face

  • My ortho gave me 2 options for my jaw ( 1. I get jaw surgery ) ( 2. I get Forsus braces ) i picked the braces because they have these metal springs in the back that while u open and close ur mouth ur jaw moves forward so then when ur jaw is in the right place ur ortho can apply the actual braces but i'm with the Forsus for 15 months! ( depends on how far ur jaw is ) and then 20 months! With the normal braces ( pretty tough )

  • How have u been so far? Did u have the surgery yet? Can you make an update video? Thanks. :-)

  • thanks for posting. good luck to you, we're here to support you!

  • You'll be OK, stay positive. Its a journey; try to enjoy it.
