  • my jeep was also assassinated by the same soldier with a bullet hole to the transmission hump

  • Yes that hole is to pull the shaft that holds the D18 transfer case shift levers.

  • LOL!! Bullet hole?! Seriously?! In that case, the same GI shot my floor because I have the same hole in the exact location. Nice collection, but please don't make up stories.

  • Someone's punched the same 'bullet hole' in my jeep to allow them to withdraw the shaft which goes through the low range/ front wheel drive shift levers through the floor pan, when taking out the transmission. It can't be dropped unless the levers are removed.

  • that is truly amazing, this by the way is MA Jeep.

  • id love to know some of the story on the recovery of this jeep

  • plucked from the ocean floor??? where when?

a soft skin vehicle like a jeep would be screwed after 6 months in salt water.

and who shot the hole in the floor? some dumb G.I with his rifle resting on his boot.

  • You said the story behind them is incredible, but what is it? Tell us!!!

  • it is actually said wilis, but it is known to most people as willys, it can actually be said both ways

  • its not pronounced willy is. its pronounces wilis
