This is not slug, and most def not ant. But it is atmosphere. It's spawn, (Rek the Heavyweight) and I'd assume it's back when slug was the DJ cuz he sampled MC Shan n Marley Marl near the end n I saw him in an interview once say that MC Shan was his favorite.
