EC155 B1 helicopter (海豚直升機) of Government Flying Service takes off at its headquarters, which is localled at one end of the runway of the Hong Kong International Airport, for a search and rescue mission of a person in water.
The EC155 first taxi across the helipad, passing by the Jetstream J-41 and AS332 L2 Super Puma (超級美洲豹). It then vertically takes off to about 5 meters above ground level, and advances across a piece of grassland to the runway. After dashing with full power for a short distance, it makes a sharp left turn and climbs up towards the Lantau direction. You can appreciate the magnificent scenery of the Hong Kong International Airport below our feet.
The mission took place in January 2006.
