if you made a list of all apples built in design flaws it would astound most people the ibook G3's and G4' were really unreliable, I knew people who over a 3 year period had their ibook G3/G4 repaired 3 or 4 times. I still repaired a few with the shim trick and a manual solder reflow, but lots of them suffered from this, it was a flaw in the design, apple only do recalls ? if they have no other choice, all computers should come with a 3 year warranty, so as to prevent landfill issues.
