For anyone who doesn't remember, Kathie Lee used to have a clothing line and it was produced primarily by Honduran sweatshop workers. Scandal ensued. This sketch was born (for those of you who have no idea who Kathie Lee Gifford even is, consider yourselves lucky and resist the urge to seek Wikipedia).

Kathie Lee Gifford (born Kathryn Lee Epstein) was born-again in Christ at age 12. And it was all downhill from there.

Far out, Daniele Gaither had a bit role on this episode - she's listed in the credits, years before becoming a cast member. Directed by John Blanchard of SCTV/KITH fame, and Patton Oswalt's credited as a writer, too.

I remember well...and it was NOT the way YOU and the vicious 'mainstream' press portray it to be. IN REALITY, Kathie Lee Gifford had NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE that her line of clothing was being produced in a Third World sweat shop (like other brands, e.g. Nike). This is typical of the 'mainstream' media's jumping to a conclusion before all facts were known and gross misreporting.
