When I was in India, I met 2 men at an airport. Tough men from the outback. One a constriction manager. His nose looked like it had been broken many times. He came to India to bid on a large constriction job. He viewed Indian people as stinking dot heads, people taking jobs from Australians. It took him 2 days in India before he broke down in tears seeing the life there. He left India after building an orphanage. Now he looks for money for it. Not all Australians are bigots.

I wish you could have met the Australian construction worker I met in India. He thought they were all "dot heads, job takers. welfare users, get out of my country brown bastards.He went there to do an estimate.

His company didn't get the job, He did however build himself an orphanage. And this guy is just a construction worker from the outback.

The BEST book I ever enjoyed takes place in Bombay. Shantaram and Freddie Mercury went to school in India. Sure this country has its problems we all do. But hey, these folks are dealing with what they have and are making the most of their lives. Sure they're happy, it's what they know. Like us we are happy and cannot fathom how others live the way they do.
