  • 124---wow!!!! what about loose skin??? can you tell me?

  • I have a little loose skin but nothing to get upset about. My chest is a little deflated, but I kind of like the smaller me and I think I would have had some of this after kids if I hadn't been masked with the weight

  • thank you so much for your videos. i am thinking about doing the gastric sleeve the 1st of march. i am concerned about the 1st 2 or 3 weeks post op. i have 2 very active middle school kids. i stay at home but i am concerned about keeping up with their schedules in the afternoon and their sports activities on the weekends. can you give me some more info about the 1st couple of weeks and how you felt? i'd appreciate it.

  • The first week I had a huge burst of energy and did way too much, I remember that I was still a little sore and uncomfortable. I took the pain pills and acid reducers for a couple weeks. I also worked within a couple days of coming home as well as took care of 3 kids (my husband was gone). I would just reccomend low key nights and since you can't eat much feed your kids prepared casseroles while you hang out on the couch. Also, remember to take some walks, the fresh air really helped.

  • Thank you for being so brave!! I've had the lap-band for 7 years now and needless to say it didn't work. I have reflux and the band has had to get opened and now found out that it's moved. It has to be removed, knowing that I'm afraid of regaining what weight I have kept off. Really considering the sleeve for the same reasons you noted. I hope you keep up with your updates. Thanks again!!

  • I am glad I did the sleeve, I decided not to do the band for the exact issues that you noted. The other great thing about the sleeve is that you are never really hungry, something you don't get with a lot of the other surgeries.
