automatic is better for drag racing. With a automatic you don't have turbolag, so it saves seconds.

2. See previous comment. Lynch's Vette ran a 6.2 sec with a 3 speed auto. Research done.

What do you think a powerglide is?!?!? It's a GM automatic that was put in a number of cars. Tim Lynch's new Corvette is an auto and ran a 6.2xx 1/4 mile at its first competition in Oct. Tim competes in the Outlaw 10.5, not the Extreme 10.5 where the cars are nearly 1000 lbs lighter.
