@AveryDanger Nope you're right. The guitarist Nick wrote most of the music for the new album. He wanted to make it more approachable, more comprehensible if you will. This new direction caused a lot of "instability" in the band, with the result of the band splitting up. Alex (vocalist) and Jon (drummer) never really liked this new approach, they also mentioned that they'll continue creating the music they like so I'm stoked for a new music project with those two! Hopefully they'll start somethin

@AveryDanger honestly, I'm fine with the change. There was loads of tension in the band, and the guy was just tired of playing that certain kind of shit. I literally just finished having a really long, personal convo with Nick via Facebook and the guy is a really good dude. And I love Daughters in any of their stylistic variations. Along with Fang Island.

Jons pretty good, Alex is original, but the core of daughters is the guitar work, always has been, I dont care about anything else except the guitars, and the guitar work on this album is incredible

@evange03 I think it's more the actual sound of Lex' voice, not so much the style. For me it is, anyway. They're both among my favorite singers, and I don't think it sounds at all like Lex is ripping off Yow's style, so no sweat. Im just happy I got to hear this more "groovy" side of the band before the world came to an end.
