@NoSaltyPeanuts the government is in charge of the military, and look what happens. We have a trillion dollar a year foreign policy and we're nation building in iraq and afghanistan, have 50,000 troops in germany, korea, japan, etc. And now we're bombing pakistan....
You want that same corrupt government dictating who gets and who DOESN'T get healthcare? Because once they're paying for all of it, they have the right to tell you you don't get any if they want.

Socialism and Communism are the enemies of Liberalism. I don't know how the term "liberal" became synonymous with collectivism, but it's wrong. The word "liberal" is supposed to connote LIBERTY. Not statism/socialism.
This frustrates me.

A critical thing you could have cited for clarity regarding the medical spending in the world: Americans spend more per capita (per person, if you will) than, well, most countries with decent health care. Yeah, I know, nitpicking.
Universal healthcare doesn't have to mean a single payer system. People need to look at France's system.

Next time, do your research. Hillary's health care plan had nothing to do with a government takeover of the country's health care system, nor did Obama's. Both call/called for tax credits and mandated transparency in costs, mandated public releases of medical quality at hospitals, and give/gave all Americans access to the insurance plans that federal public officals are offered. Now tell me, fine sir, does any of that smack of socialism -- COMMUNISM! -- to you?
