Episode 43: October 15 was my best friend Robert Martell's 40th birthday. Unfortunately I wasn't able to spend time with him on his birthday proper but the following day Rob himself had the bright idea to go out and do something. Given how gorgeous the day was predicted to be he decided it might be fun to tour Cape Breton's justly famous Cabot Trail.
If you like beautiful scenery, this is your episode; The Cabot Trail is absolutely phenomenal in the fall.
Also, check out the gorgeous dog we met just before we headed home: a White Siberian Husky named Luna that her owners found through here:

Darrell and I (and his Mom and the man she was with) made the same trip around the same time in 2005. The last pic I got was at Lone Sheiling before the camera I had then died. Which is a shame because some of the most beautiful views came afterward. I think D & I went again when I had a better camera, then Jonathan and I went up again two years ago, but that was in summer.

@Crackrzz Interesting coincidence insofar as MY camera ALSO died only shortly after leaving The Shieling as well. :)
