[12] New Super Mario Bros World Record 100% speed run in 2:26:20 (part 12 of 45)

This is the twelfth segment of the World Record SDA run on New Super Mario Bros DS
This is what I said on Segment 12 of the run:
Segment 12:
2-Castle (Alt) One of the strangest things is that on segment 10 I performed a wall zip glitch without any problems. But if you enter the second room as Mini you are unable to perform the glitch, even when you power up as a Fire Plumber, so weird. The difference should be under one second at the most. The toughest timesaver is defeating Mummipokey by collecting the Mini mushroom from the reserve BEFORE the last fireball connects. This is obviously the fastest way to unlock World 4

@Leafshinoby This video has dual screens so I'm sure it's for the DS.

The Wii game is completely different to the DS game, slightly a bit more challenging than the DS classic.

Easy, go to the highest spot on the rope and jump off.

Wait, why does it HAVE to be before the last fire hit connects? Does the mushroom disappear if it does?

Yeah the mini mushroom disappears when you defeat a boss, so it has to be collected before the boss is defeated.

i never kill hik whit fire flower just u use the mini mushroom to jump on him and go to level 4 well i past the game

That was beautifully done at 1:21 perfect timing, plus I didn't know there was a higher part of the level at 0:28. As Greenalink already explained, it now makes sense why you'd collect the mini mushroom before the last hit, plus fighting him tiny is simply just annoying, you'd have to perfect landing on him without screwing up, and it's faster using flower then tiny mushroom before last hit anyways lol.
